Up for auction: a pair of Antique Architectural Salvaged Cedar/Heart Pine Corbels.
This matching Pair of Corbels came from an old home in New England, Ca. 1900. Originally part of a larger set of gingerbread/bead-work lining an old home’s porch.
These corbels were coated with old paint and dirt, so we had them professionally stripped for restoration work being done on our home. We ended up not using this pair, thus our selling.
One of the corbels was repaired many years ago with what appears to be cedar. The original corbel and original portion of the repaired corbel are an undetermined wood (the originally looks to be heart pine). Both are structurally sound with checking and nail holes as would be typical for a previously installed element.
The longest side of each is 16-5/8”
The shortest side is approximately 10”
They are both 1-3/4” thick
